Icefjord Safari & Kangia Glacier Landing

Service Description

On this trip the helicopter takes off and flies as low as safety and preservation permit, crossing hills, lakes and finally into the Ilulissat Icefjord where you witness sections of the massive Greenland mainland ice cap break off into the North Atlantic. A helicopter flight is per definition a great experience and combined with the breathtaking scenery up close to the magnificent Ilulissat Glacier, this excursion is an absolute winner. The glacier is 7 kilometers wide and more than 1 kilometre steep. It produces 43 million tons of ice and moves forward about 50 meters a day.
